Last nigh when I was trying to get to sleep I started to think about how Grandpa tucked us in at night when we would spend the night at their house. He would always come in and give us a kiss on the forehead and say goodnight sweetie heart. He stopped doing this when we got older. I am sure he thought that we wouldn't want him to tuck us in anymore but I always miss that.
I loved spending the night at their house, it was always so peaceful. I remember if I ever had a cold I always coughed into the pillow because if Grandpa heard you he would always come in and make you take cough medicine. He was always so sweet and would sit in the kitchen with me while I had snack even when we were watching something on TV .I loved everything about those times. We were so lucky to have them as Grandparents.

Grandpa's Birthday
I have been thinking a lot today about Grandpa today.I looked at the Calender this morning and realized that tomorrow is his birth day. Anyway I was reading my bible this morning and found this verse. So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:42-44 It makes me feel better when I think about Grandpa having a new body and not having any more pain. His knees don't hurt anymore; he doesn't need his cane; he is in perfect health now. When Grandpa first died, thinking he was in a better place didn't really make me feel any better. I knew he was in heaven but I was sad because he wasn't with us any more and our lives are not going to be the same but this verse makes me feel happy for him even if I wish he was still here.

Awesome!
What an amazing picture of grandpa. That first one with the Tetons in the back is great. When I saw that it really took my breath away. It just really expresses grandpa in that picture. It really makes you think of how happily he lived his life and how happy he made those around him. He really was a happy man. You can just see the peace in his face. It is something that cant be bought. It makes me want to be just like him. It makes me feel proud that I like to fish like he did. I also love the outdoors like he did. But to be like grandpa the most important thing is to love your family. Saying that grandpa had a kind heart and loved others is like saying a grizzly bear is a powerfull animal. The bear is powerfull but it doesn't know it. That is the way it has always been it doesn't know any different. I love you guys. When I saw that picture I fealt like my stomache went in to my throat and it really made me miss grandpa. What an awesome picture though.

I really like the new blog, I think dad would have said that several times if he had been trying to get in to this blog and post a message. I am looking forward to sharing memories of dad. This has been a sad week for me because I am really missing him.
